Meet the Musician Mondays - Anne Oeldorf-Hirsch

Today's Meet-the-Musician-Monday is all about Anne Oeldorf-Hirsch! Anne is usually behind the scenes setting up and advertising our concert events for Instagram & Facebook, but she's also a fantastic violinist and we're so happy to have her in the CSO!

Anne joined the symphony as a violinist in 2023. She grew up playing violin in the school’s string orchestra, as well as singing alto in concert and jazz choirs. After initially starting college as a music major, she changed paths, but always continued violin as a hobby. In graduate school, she played in the Nittany Valley Symphony, and most recently played in the Colchester Choir and Orchestra. By day, Anne is a professor in the Communication department at UConn, where she researches the psychological and relational effects of communication technology such as social media and artificial intelligence. She is thrilled to have joined CSO this season to keep her musical side alive and to continue her love of creating music as a community.
