Grant News, November 2023

The Connecticut Symphony Orchestra has just been awarded an operating and support grant of $4000 from the Connecticut Office of the Arts from the Connecticut State Legislature.

We are grateful for this grant support to further our mission to bring high level performance opportunities to our members and local artists and to reach everyone in the Greater Hartford area with affordable, quality live classical music.

This funding supports a grassroots effort to preserve what is truly good in our society. Community orchestras are unique in the way that they bring musicians, amateur and professional, together with music lovers to focus on common ground. These people come from all walks of life, age groups young and old, all manner of political viewpoint to focus on this common ground: the love of music and the arts. Now, of all times, this activity takes on importance well beyond its apparent purpose.
